Hoa Phat steel maker acquires Australia's Roper Valley iron ore mine
Vào ngày hôm qua, Nhà sản xuất thép Hòa Phát của Việt Nam cho biết họ đã mua lại dự án mỏ quặng sắt Roper Valley ở Úc, đánh dấu bước đầu tiên của công ty này trong việc đảm bảo nguồn cung của mình tại nhà sản xuất quặng sắt lớn nhất thế giới.
Vietnam’s steel maker Hoa Phat said yesterday it has acquired the Roper Valley iron ore mine project in Australia, marking the company’s first step to secure its own supplies in the world’s biggest iron ore producer.
Trong một thông báo, Hòa Phát cho biết dự án ước tính có trữ lượng 320 triệu tấn, với công suất khai thác 4 triệu tấn / năm.
The project is estimated to have 320 million metric tons of reserves, with mining capacity at four million metric tons per year, Hoa Phat said in a statement.
Người phát ngôn của Hòa Phát từ chối tiết lộ chi tiết tài chính, với lý do thỏa thuận bảo mật.
Hoa Phat’s spokesperson declined to disclose financial details, citing a confidentiality agreement.
Hòa Phát cho biết họ cũng đang tìm cách mua lại các mỏ than luyện cốc và nhiều dự án quặng sắt hơn ở Australia để đáp ứng ít nhất 50% nhu cầu, tương đương 10 triệu tấn thép mỗi năm.
Hoa Phat said it was also looking to acquire coking coal mines and more iron ore projects in Australia to fulfil at least 50% of its demand, equivalent to 10 million metric tons of steel per year.
Được thành lập vào năm 1992, Hòa Phát, có giá trị vốn hóa thị trường hơn 9,6 tỷ đô la, là nhà sản xuất thép lớn nhất Việt Nam với công suất sản xuất thép thô là tám triệu tấn một năm, theo hồ sơ của công ty.
Founded in 1992, Hoa Phat, which has a market capitalisation of more than $9.6 billion, is Vietnam’s largest steel maker with a crude steel production capacity of eight million metric tons a year, according to the company’s filing.
