Bộ Thương mại Hoa Kỳ (DOC) vào hôm thứ ba đã mở một cuộc điều tra chống bán phá giá để xác định xem các ống đồng tinh chế từ Việt Nam có bị bán phá giá ở mức chênh lệch 111,82% trên thị trường Hoa Kỳ hay không.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) launched an antidumping investigation to determine whether seamless refined copper pipes and tubes from Vietnam are being dumped at an alleged margin of 111.82% on the United States market.
Trong một phát biểu, Bộ này cho biết rằng bản kiến nghị đã được đệ trình bởi Liên minh ống đồng Mỹ và các thành viên của Liên minh. Việc xác định chống bán phá giá sơ bộ dự kiến vào tháng 12 năm 2020.
In a statement, the department said that the petition was filed by the American Copper Tube Coalition and its constituent members. The preliminary antidumping determination is scheduled for December in 2020.

Theo Cục Phòng vệ thương mại Việt Nam, DOC sẽ quyết định lựa chọn bị đơn bắt buộc trong vòng 20 ngày kể từ ngày đăng thông báo khởi xướng điều tra .Sau đó, DOC sẽ gửi bản câu hỏi đầy đủ và thời hạn các bên trả lời trong vòng 30 ngày.
According to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam, the DOC will select certain mandatory respondents within 20 days since the announcement of the investigation. Then, they will be responsible for responding to all parts of the questionnaire from the U.S. agency within 30 days.

The imports of seamless refined copper pipes and tubes from Vietnam were valued at roughly US$146.5 million in 2019.
