Five million ‘made-in-Việt Nam’ medical protective equipment transported to New York
Một công ty Việt Nam đã chuyển năm triệu vật tư bảo vệ y tế cho chính quyền ở New York, Mỹ.
A Vietnamese company has shipped five million medical protective supplies to authorities in New York, US.
Huỳnh Quốc Định, giám đốc của Super Cargo Service cho biết, bộ quần áo bảo hộ, khẩu trang và găng tay đã được vận chuyển đến New York để hỗ trợ thành phố bị ảnh hưởng nặng nề trong cuộc chiến chống COVID-19.
Huỳnh Quốc Định, director of Super Cargo Service said the protective suits, face masks and gloves had been transported to New York to support the hard-hit city in the fight against COVID-19.
Ông cho biết “Công ty này đã hợp tác với bốn hãng hàng không - Hãng hàng không Ethiopia, Cathay Pacific, Eva Airlines và Philippines Airlines - để vận chuyển thiết bị trên tám máy bay cỡ lớn. Chính quyền New York cho biết đã nhận được đợt cuối cùng vào chiều ngày 20 tháng 5 (giờ địa phương)”.
“The company has co-operated with four airlines - Ethiopia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Eva Airlines and Philippines Airlines – to transport the equipment on eight big-sized planes. The New York authorities reportedly received the last batch on May 20’s afternoon (local time),” he said.
Đầu tháng 5, CBS News đưa tin rằng Thị trưởng New York York Bill de Blasio đã thảo luận về việc mua thiết bị bảo vệ y tế từ Việt Nam.
In early May, CBS News reported that New York Mayor York Bill de Blasio had discussed buying medical protective equipment from Việt Nam.
Ông cho biết thành phố đã đặt hàng một nhà máy ở Việt Nam để sản xuất thiết bị với số lượng lớn để giúp thành phố Hoa Kỳ.
He said the city had ordered a factory in Việt Nam to manufacture the equipment in large quantities for the to help the US city.
New York là một trong những điểm nóng coronavirus lớn nhất ở Mỹ với hơn 364.000 trường hợp dương tính và hơn 28.700 ca tử vong vào sáng ngày 21 tháng 5.
New York is one of the biggest coronavirus hot spots in the US with more than 364,000 positive cases and more than 28,700 deaths as of the morning May 21.
