Most societies have homeless people. Some people think that the best way to help them is to give them money. To what extent do you agree?
Many people have different views on how to help the homeless. While some people believe that providing them with money is an appropriate solution, I partly agree with this method.
On the one hand, I agree that giving money to the people living in the streets is one of the superficial and temporary methods to help them promptly overcome the miserable conditions. Firstly, providing destitute persons with financial support will help them pay money for essential demands. For instance, they can buy food to eat when they are hungry and they can buy clothes to keep their bodies get warmer in cold days. Without a home and lack of money; moreover, become the heading causes pushing beggars into entering the path of sin. They may be perilous criminals (thieves, killers). Financial aids; therefore, are somewhat able to prevent them from engaging in bad behaviors.
On the other hand, I do not think that giving financial assistance to the homeless is able to help them break out of their deprivation. First and foremost, most of the vagrants do not have any fixed sources of income and in many cases, they lack education or required skills; thus, assisting them with money may not help the miserable sustain in the coming times. They would still be struggling to make ends meet for themselves or for the upbringing of their children. Moreover, I also feel this method could be misused. The homeless can receive this bailout and ask for money every time they do not have money. In other words, this measure makes the panhandlers rely on others and do not take full responsibility for themselves.
Conclusion, although giving money to people who live in reduced circumstances can help them precariously get a better life, I believe that this method has its drawbacks.
