Write an essay (150 - 300 words) about this topic:

With increased global demand in oil and gas, undiscovered areas of the world should be opened up to access more resources. To what extend do you agree?

Many people have different views on how to solve increased global demand in fuel resources. While some people believe that expanding wild areas of the world is an appropriate measure, I partly agree with this method.

On the one hand, I agree that extending unexplored areas of the world is one of superficial and precarious methods to help promptly to deal with the shortage of current energy resources. Firstly, there are many undiscovered natural sources will provide a great number of energies for development of economy and ensuring life standard of human race. For instance, oil and coal energies are running out in the near future, these potential energies become a good solution for this energy problem. Secondly, due to shortage of current energy resources for developing the economy of a country, especially developed countries, wars among countries are happening to get oil sources or coal, goal mines. Therefore, these energies become a good way to limit armed conflicts among countries.

On the other hand, I believe that expanding undiscovered regions of the world will ravage natural environment. First and foremost, those full exploitations of mineral resources would be a huge mistake because of their potential risks. For example, drilling for non-renewable energy resources is seriously damaging to the local ecosystem, such as The Deep Water Horizon disaster, the fully obvious evidence that demonstrates just how disastrous an oil spill can be for the animals and plant life in the local vicinity. Moreover, enlarging and fully exploiting undiscovered areas of the world will empty natural energies that are reserved for future generation, which becomes a heavy damage for mankind.

Overall, I can clearly come to conclusion that although expanding undiscovered zones of the world may help human-beings provisionally get a better life, I believe that this method has its drawbacks.
