Write an essay (150 - 300 words) about this topic:
Some say you should always marry for love; others say that in an uncertain world it's wiser to marry for money. Discuss both points of view and give your own opinion.
Marriage is always a big deal to everyone, because at that time, your life, your future and even yourself will change greatly. However, not all get married for the same reason. Nowadays, we can clearly see that there are two common things that seduce people into a relationship: love and money. Some say you should always marry for love; others say that in an uncertain world it is wiser to marry for money. These two opinions, though contradictory, are both worth thinking about.
Marriage is like a affection bond between two people, once they tie the knot, they will be committed to each other for the rest of their lives. Therefore, in a marriage, love plays a vital part, love always represents a true and happy marriage. Getting married means that you have to spend most of your time with your mate, care for him, help each other deal with troubles, share with together all the happiness and sadness. Moreover, you will bear the responsibility of being a parent, raising your children and dedicating for your family. Without love, you will never be able to do those things. In addtion, there is no true happiness in a marriage without love, there can only be lameness, sadness and even hatrid. This can lead to arguments, miseries, divorces and worse still, injuries. And if you have children, this can affect them considerably.
However, the world is changing and sometimes, only love is not enough for a stable relationship. Nowadays, money plays a crucial role in almost everywhere. All need money to settle down, to have a good job, to raise children, etc. When deciding to start a relationship with someone, sometimes we still take his family background into consideration because we are afraid of hardship, poverty. Hardship can make our lives more uneasy to live, and can create conflicts and affect our relationship. As a result, money is an important factor to consider before going into a relationship.
However, to my way of thinking, it's not good at all at all to marry for money and not for love, because that is a dishonest and self-interested kind of marriage, and it will not last for a long time. It is understandable to think about the money issue, but love is way more important. With love, a couple can have the strength to endure hardness and they will be willing to try as hard as they can to raise money, to improve their lives. No matter how important money can be in our lives, love is always the best, the strongest driving force of commitment and stability, and marrying for love is always the most reasonable and respective decision.
