Today’s food travels thousands of miles before it reaches customers. Why is this? Is this a positive or negative trend?
Nowadays, countries become well-to-do, prosperous, and want to integrate into the market of the economic world, so, traveling today’s food from thousands of miles before it reaches customers can’t avoid among the countries.
However, “is this a positive or negative trend? “It seems as if people also have answers themselves. For me, that food travels from thousands of miles before it reaches the customers has many positive trends. Firstly, customers can use and choose diversified food without wasting a lot of time due to all things they need are probably gathered in an area. Secondly, traveling food makes increasingly competitive among countries .thanks to this, each country or locals create food safety and hygiene standards before entering the market. Thirdly, traveling food makes a contribution to economic growth about GDP for many customer markets and many big companies or factories appear. Lastly, each country will have good relationships among the countries in developing economies.
On the other hand, traveling food also have negative sides. People must charge the cost of moving from the country to the other country on the road (you must tax on officials through border crossing) or maintaining the food by using preservatives. In addition, it makes an influence on customer’s health since almost companies or factories use many chemical substances in order to keep the food fresh and attractive to the customers
In conclusion, traveling food brings advantages to meet customers’ needs but people should consider carefully the food before buying them.
